The program brought together <strong>religious leaders, community representatives, and development practitioners<\/strong> to engage in critical dialogue on <strong>leprosy awareness, reducing stigma, and fostering inclusive support systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was <strong>chaired by Mr. Ranjit Chandra Das<\/strong>, Assistant Executive Director of BASTOB, who emphasized the importance of community-led approaches in breaking the social taboos surrounding leprosy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Religious leaders play a pivotal role in shaping public opinion in communities. Their voice can <strong>counter myths<\/strong>, promote <strong>scientific understanding<\/strong>, and <strong>encourage compassion<\/strong> towards people affected by leprosy. Their active involvement is vital in building <strong>inclusive societies<\/strong> where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, BASTOB awarded <strong>educational scholarships<\/strong> to several children from leprosy-affected families.
