The coastal regions of Bangladesh are highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, including rising sea levels, cyclones, storm surges, and salinity intrusion. These environmental threats have had devastating effects on the livelihoods, food security, and overall well-being of the coastal communities, many of whom rely on agriculture, fishing, and other natural resource-based activities for their sustenance. In response to these pressing challenges, the Resilient Homestead and Livelihood Support to the Vulnerable Coastal People of Bangladesh (RHL) project was conceived with the aim of enhancing the resilience and adaptive capacity of these vulnerable coastal communities. With funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and assistance from the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), this initiative intends to address the multifaceted consequences of climate change by integrating capacity building programs, climate-resilient infrastructure, and opportunities for sustainable livelihood. BASTOB was selected by the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation as the implementing organization for the RHL project in Moheshkhali.<\/p>\n
